Pink Beach Club
Bermuda’s Premier South Shore Resort

TUCKER’S TOWN, BERMUDA (05/06)

Overlooking two magnificent pink coral sand beaches and set on 13.5 acres of lush gardens on rolling hills, Pink Beach Club is a picture-perfect hideaway in Tucker’s Town on Bermuda’s south shore. This enduring property has thrived for decades and is still a favorite for couples, honeymooners, golfers, business travelers, and families.

Managing Director Michael J. Williams, CHA, says, “We cater to a vacationer seeking fine dining, choice accommodations, quality of service and tranquility. This is a place where people come to have fun and relax and we do our utmost to see that happens.

We have the advantage of being spread out, providing plenty of privacy and by pre-assigning suites, we are able to ensure the best for each guest. For example, honeymooners are never next to families and older people don’t get rooms with steps to manage.

“We’re very proud of the fact that we have a 60% guest repeat factor which gives us confidence that we are providing the vacation that our visitors are looking for. Many people make reservations for their next visit before they depart the resort.”

The elegant design of the property’s 24 cottages is that of traditional Bermuda cottage architecture with distinctive, white-washed terraced roofs, offsetting the soft rose hue of the exterior walls below, painted to perfectly complement the pink beaches. The cottages are divided into 62 junior suites and 32 suites. Most are on the hilltop with

sublime views of the stunning blue/green ocean, a crystal-clear color kept that way by Bermuda’s underwater coral reefs. Three of the cottages are situated in Pink Beach Club’s lush gardens.

The Suites offer a spacious bedroom with a king bed or two double beds, large dressing room area, and a separate living room with an over-sized private terrace. The Junior Suites are exceptionally large one-room suites that feature a living room/bedroom combination and a private terrace.

All accommodations offer direct phone, in-room safe, a mini refrigerator, in-room coffee maker, iron and ironing board, hair-dryer, complimentary robes, air conditioning, complimentary wi-fi, and chaise lounges and table and chairs on the terrace. Rooms are decorated in soft pastel shades, off-set by elegant cherry wood furnishings – blending tropical ambiance with British elegance.

Dining at Pink Beach Club is something all guests anticipate with delight. The Bermudiana is the more formal indoor ocean front dining room where dinner only is served. Gentlemen are requested to wear jackets and woman dress accordingly. The poolside Breaker’s Ocean Terrace Café is casual and open for breakfast and lunch as well as for dinner from April 15 to October 15. The chef uses local ingredients as often as possible including fresh fruits and vegetables grown on the island and seafood caught just off-shore. The result is healthy and delicious food.

Piano music is provided nightly in the Bermudiana and live Calypso music is provided in the Terrace Café. Guests may enjoy a full hot English breakfast in the privacy of their own cottage. A traditional English afternoon tea is served each day with tea cakes, scones and gourmet cookies. Cocktails are served daily in the bar, on the beach, or by the pool, and the Atlantic Lounge or Hibiscus Room (with a wood-burning fireplace on chilly nights off-season) is ideal for relaxing with friends.

Pink Beach Club features two pink sand beaches and a heated swimming pool – all perfect for swimming or lounging, two tennis courts, and ping pong tables. Snorkeling equipment is complimentary as are tennis balls and racquets. Mopeds may be rented on-property.

The hotel has access to two championship golf courses just minutes away – the Mid Ocean Club and the new Tucker’s Point. Even though both are private clubs, Pink Beach Club can easily arrange tee times for guests.

Fax service, laundry and dry cleaning are all available on-property. There is also a library with a Business Center, complimentary for guests and open all day. A fitness Center complete with a treadmill, exercise bicycle, Stairmaster, and weights is open 24/7. Two massage therapists are on property for the height of pampering – in-cottage massages including Swedish, Stress Relief, Aromatherapy, and Sports massages. The concierge will assist in arranging sightseeing tours, deep-sea fishing charters, sailing, scuba diving, glass-bottom boat cruises, and more.

Pink Beach Club has been recognized as a Gold Resort by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler and was also included on Gourmet Magazine’s “Rooms at the Top” list. A member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World consortium, the resort is four miles from the international airport and approximately seven miles from Hamilton, Bermuda’s capital.

Rates start at $320 per Garden Suite, $350 for Junior Suite and $420 for Ocean View Suite. The Governor and Ambassador Suites start at $500. All rates are per night, MAP, based on double or single occupancy, and depend upon the season.
